Tim Tam Slam
There is something about Tim Tams. For those of you who have never heard of a Tim Tam it is a chocolate biscuit that was designed as the perfect biscuit for dunking in a hot drink as tea, coffee, hot chocolate, Milo, or liquor such as Irish Cream. They originally were only available in Australia and New Zealand but they are starting to gain recognition in other countries.
Tim Tams are a chocolate biscuit made by Arnott's Biscuits, Australia. They are engineered by sandwiching a light chocolate cream filling between two layers of chocolate malted biscuit. The resulting biscuit is then smothered in a perfect layer of creamy chocolate.
The technique to do the perfect dunking of a Tim Tam is called the Tim Tam Slam. When done right the biscuit should maintain its shape until the moment you shove it into your mouth. As the biscuit strikes the inside of your mouth it collapses, releasing a torrent of warm melted chocolate cascading over your tongue. The resulting sensation is a chocolate lovers wet dream.

- Slam
- With no grace at all, shove the entire biscuit into your mouth.
Why slam Tim Tams
Tim Tams are the best biscuit to do this with. The chocolate layer surrounding a Tim Tam is thick and does not have a single hole for the air to escape. Inside, the biscuit has enough space to allow liquid to be drawn up into the biscuit.
